The 4th Brussels Art Nouveau Biennial Event is due to take place each weekend of October to celebrate the history of Brussels’ architecture. This unique event seeks to discover its splendid Art Nouveau heritage. An opportunity to visit private buildings is offered together with participating in seminars, presentations and entertainment in honour of the celebration of Art Nouveau.
As well as 77 interior visits there are 106 planned guided tours by foot, bicycle and coach to various districts of Brussels. The unique style of Art Nouveau has permeated from a style to a fashion and its art form is more than abundant in many of Brussels buildings. Wonderful interiors, usually not available for public viewing are being made accessible to all. They include private homes, schools and commercial buildings. With so many examples of this beautiful art form, Brussels justifiably deserves its “Capital of Art Nouveau” accolade.
