For the first time winter this skiers can fly direct to the heart of the Tirol from Bristol, Liverpool and Manchester, with new BA and easyJet routes to Innsbruck. Fares start from under £40 return and once at the airport a city centre bus operates every 15 minutes and takes just 18 minutes to Innsbruck city centre from where Innsbruck’s 9 satellite ski resorts are served by free ski buses. Airport transfers take skiers further afield, to its numerous resorts and glaciers.
EasyJet’s new Bristol route starts on 14th December and flies every Friday, Sunday and Monday with fares from £38.98 return. The airline has also introduced its first Liverpool to Innsbruck route, starting on 8th January and flying on Tuesdays and Thursdays with fares from £45.98 return.
BA has also expanded their routes to Innsbruck with a new direct Manchester flight every Sunday.
With much of Europe suffering from a lack of snow last winter, the Austrian Tirol was able to open the majority of its slopes, due to sophisticated snow-making and many high altitude locations, while its 5 glaciers offered year-round skiing, guaranteeing skiers the white stuff.
