Holiday Inn has opened its first hotel in Soweto, South Africa. This is the first hotel owned by one of the major International brands to open in South Africa's most famous township, and the opening ceremony lasted 3 days in fitting tribute to another major step in South Africa's tourist renaissance.

Located in Walter Sisulu Square the 48 room Holiday Inn Freedom Square is built in the African style and has two suites, boardrooms and conference facilities.
